- Supported the use of all tobacco settlement funds for health care, including health research, prevention, and health care for the uninsured.

- Supported Act 13 containing the most comprehensive medical liability reforms in decades.
- Supported he establishment of a comprehensive patient safety reporting system designed to improve the safety of patients in our health care facilities.

Bob Robbins is a staunch defender of our Second Amendment rights in the State Senate. Time after time, he has gone to bat for firearm owners. This past year he was successful in the expansion of the Pennsylvania's firearm reciprocity law to ensure that Pennsylvanians who have a license to carry may do so in more states. He also prevailed in the fight against gun control advocates by keeping such recommendations as "one gun a month" out of the final report of Governor Rendell's Commission to Address Gun Violence. Bob Robbins is not only a friend of mine, but to all Pennsylvania firearm owners.
